Fire is the oldest and most reliable way to anchor an outdoor space. It draws people in, extends the usable evening by an hour or two, and changes the character of a terrace or garden entirely. The question is which form that fire takes — and what it asks of the space and the person tending it.

Our range centres on bioethanol fire features. Bioethanol burns cleanly — the only combustion products are heat, water vapour and a negligible quantity of CO₂ — which means no chimney, no flue, no gas line and no permit requirement in most European jurisdictions. The fuel is portable and placement is therefore unconstrained by infrastructure. The range spans the compact Stix through to the large-format Mix 850 bowl.

How to Choose Your Fire Feature

Form — The Stix series is sculptural and portable; the Pod and Nova series are low, wide concrete bowls designed to be grouped with seating; the Mix series is circular and sits well at the centre of a conversation arrangement. Choose the form before you choose the size.

Scale — A fire feature should be proportionate to the seating arrangement around it. A Pod 30 or Nova 600 suits a two-to-three seat grouping; a Mix 850 or Nova 850 suits a larger terrace or a formal outdoor dining setting.

Fuel consumption — Small AB3-burner models (Nova 600, Mix 600, Stix) burn approximately 0.7 litres per fill over 8–11 hours. Large AB8-burner models (Mix 850, Nova 850, Pod 30/40) burn 2.1 litres over 7–9 hours. e-NRG bioethanol is available across Europe.

Delivery and Installation

Fire features ship by standard parcel courier or pallet freight depending on weight. Delivery is to your door on a scheduled date; no installation is required — the products are placed and lit. The bioethanol burner is pre-fitted; you need only fill it and use the supplied lighting rod.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is bioethanol safe indoors? The Stix models are rated for indoor and outdoor use. The Nova, Mix and Pod bowl series are rated outdoor-only. Certification for each model — including EN 16647 for the EU — is listed on its product page.

Where can I buy the fuel in Europe? e-NRG bioethanol is available from specialist retailers across Europe and can be ordered online for delivery. We can point you to suppliers in your country on request.

Do I need a permit for a bioethanol fire feature? In most European jurisdictions, no. Because bioethanol products require no chimney, flue or gas connection, they fall outside most building control requirements. Always confirm with your local authority for permanent installations.

What concrete finish options are available? Fluid Concrete is available in Natural, Graphite and Bone. Natural variation in colour and texture is inherent to the handcast material. Lead times for specific finish combinations are stated on each product page.

Can I leave a concrete fire bowl outside permanently? Yes. Fluid Concrete is weather-resistant, UV-stable and frost-tolerant. We recommend covering the burner opening during extended periods of rain.
