Shipping & Delivery

Everything we sell is large, heavy and shipped by freight. This page explains exactly how that works, so there are no surprises on the day.

How freight delivery works

Products travel on a pallet or in a crate, on a lorry with a tail lift. This is not a parcel service: the vehicle is large, the driver works alone, and the delivery has to be booked rather than simply attempted.

Kerbside delivery is standard. The driver lowers the goods to ground level at the nearest safe point of access to your property. Moving the item into position from there is your responsibility.

Placement can be quoted. Where the carrier offers it and the site allows, we can arrange positioning and removal of packaging for an additional cost. Tell us your site conditions when you order and we will confirm what is possible and what it costs before dispatch.

Delivery cost

Freight is quoted per order based on destination, weight and access. Denmark and the immediate Nordic region are the most economical; destinations further into Europe cost more, and orders outside Europe are quoted individually. Any freight cost is confirmed with you before your order is dispatched.

Lead times

Lead times are stated on each product page as a range and begin when your order is confirmed with the manufacturer, not when you place it. Made-to-order and configured items run longer than standard models. We confirm the expected dispatch date after your order is placed and tell you promptly if anything changes.

Booking your delivery

We telephone 48–72 hours before delivery to agree a window. Before that call, please check:

  • The access route — a large lorry needs a straight approach and room to turn
  • Overhead obstructions such as cables, branches and low arches
  • Ground conditions — soft ground, gravel and steep drives can prevent a tail lift from operating safely
  • That someone over 18 will be present to receive and sign for the delivery

If access is not possible on arrival, the carrier may have to return the goods, and a redelivery charge will apply.

Damage on delivery — please read

Inspect the crate before you sign. Photograph any damage to the packaging or the product while the driver is still present, note it on the delivery paperwork, and do not begin assembly.

Report it to us within 48 hours at info@veldorahaven.com with photographs and your order number. This deadline matters: our agreements with manufacturers require damage to be reported within a short window, and claims made later may not be recoverable.

If a product arrives damaged, do not install or use it, and do not attempt a repair before we have responded. Doing so can void the manufacturer's liability for the fault.

Delivery outside Europe

We ship worldwide by arrangement. Freight, customs duties and import taxes are quoted individually before the order is confirmed. Duties and import charges are payable by the customer.

Questions

If your site has difficult access, or you are unsure whether a delivery is feasible, write to us at info@veldorahaven.com before ordering. It is far easier to solve in advance than on the day.
